Michael Paul

After graduating from UCLA and spending nearly three years sharpening his skills in the financial services industry at Northwestern Mutual, Michael took a leap into entrepreneurship — after making a life-changing decision in Las Vegas to quit his job and start a company on a whim. Ask him about it.

In 2009, he co-founded Swift Chip with his business partner, Ken May. The company was born from the unique combination of Michael’s passion for people and Ken’s extensive technological know-how. Their mission? To take the “SH” out of IT and transform technology from a business burden into an indispensable asset.

At the heart of Swift Chip’s success is Michael’s dedication to delivering superior customer service in an industry often plagued by inconsistent support. As the driving force behind business development and community partnerships, he’s helped to build a company culture that thrives on learning, excellence, and, most importantly, delighting clients.

Working hand-in-hand with a team of top-tier IT experts who embody Swift Chip’s core values—customer focus, curiosity, and a passion for technology—Michael has steered the company’s evolution from a small Los Angeles apartment to offices in both Los Angeles and Ventura and team members across the globe. Along the way, Swift Chip has proudly served over 1,000 SMBs that rely on its expertise, responsiveness, and above-and-beyond service.

When he’s not busy taking the “SH” out of IT, Michael enjoys spending time with his large family and circle of friends, taking in live music, and supporting the arts. He sometimes wonders how many more championships the Dodgers and Lakers could have won had they put him on their payroll as a strategic second guesser. His qualifications? Multiple fantasy sports championships. After breaking a sweat at the gym, on the basketball court, or hiking local trails, he can usually be found rewarding himself with tacos. And when his curiosity isn’t getting him into something new and exciting, he’s perfecting the art of the weekend nap—a pursuit he takes very seriously.
